Timmins has some work to do to cut down some costing.

The city is on pace to finish the year $2.5-million dollars over budget in tax write offs.  Treasurer Jim Howie says there is still time to change that outlook, and there are many factors that could come into play like winter maintenance.

He says at this point, the city will have to draw from their reserves.

However, Howie does add revenues and expenditures are in line with the 2016 budget.

You can read Howie’s full report HERE.  Unfortunately, there was some audio issues on the city’s webcast Monday night so we’re unable to give you the full discussion.
