Many people have been wondering about the welfare of the animals that stay behind in Kashechewan amid another evacuation.

Well, the Ontario SPCA is responding in-kind with a generous donation of dog food.  750 pounds of it.

The food was transferred to the James Bay community on Saturday.

“The Ontario SPCA has been a resource for animals during natural disasters all across Ontario,” says Deputy Chief Jennifer Bluhm, Ontario SPCA.

“We are pleased to be able to extend a helping hand to the Kashechewan First Nation community and the animals we all care for so deeply.”
