The price of the Mattagami Waste Water Plant is set to go up again.

Public Utilities Manager Steve Kukulka says they’re looking to install a catwalk for just under $65,000, which will give workers better access to vital equipment for scum collection and yet-to-be-installed infrared heaters.

The heaters are vital to their operations, especially during the winter months when sewer lines can freeze up.

The recommendation is to give the contract to local company Gorf Construction.

This will come back for formal approval next week.
