It was June 1st, 1967 when The Beatles released Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.  An immediate success, both critically and commercially, the album would go on to become the 3rd best-selling album in the U.K.  It spent 27 weeks at the top of the U.K. Album Charts and 15 weeks at #1 in the U.S (en.wikipedia.org).  It produced massive hits like “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” and “A Day in the Life.”
