During the early morning hours of June 17, 2017, police received a call regarding a break and enter that occurred in the area of Eyre Blvd. and Jubilee Ave. Reports indicated that after entering a residence, individuals took several personal belongings valued at approximately $2300.

In relation to this incident, Wieslaw WOLOSZYN, 37, of Timmins, Therese ST. LOUIS, 39, of Timmins, as well as a 13 year-old young offender all face charges of Break, Enter & Commit Indictable Offence, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000. Woloszyn was held for a bail hearing scheduled for June 19, 2017, while the other offenders were released on Promises to Appear in court.

Throughout the day on June 17, police received reports of several other thefts in the area during the same time frame, including thefts from sheds, garages and vehicles. These thefts remain under investigation by members of the Criminal Investigation Section.

Police are reminding the public of the importance of securing valuables, whether in vehicles, sheds, or residences. Locking doors, using deadbolts, and securing all valuables so that they are not in plain view are ways to help avoid becoming a victim of theft.
