After over a decade at the helm of the Timmins Fire Department, Chief Mike Pintar says it’s time to move on.

“Spyke” is retiring, with his last work day set for October 31st.

He began his role as Chief in January 2005 and says the change will be good for the fire station after him being at the helm for 13 years.

Rogers Media spoke with Spyke Friday morning about the decision and as always, we had some fun talking some hockey too.
