Three people are facing charges after a violent home invasion in Timmins Wednesday morning.

Timmins Police say they got the call around 1:15am with reports indicating three people allegedly attending a home, assaulting the residents inside and leaving with several items.

The victims suffered non-life threatening injuries, and the three were found and arrested.

18-year old Julian Jones and 19-year old Rande Silvennoinen, both of Timmins, face the following charges:

Jones: Break, Enter and Commit Indictable Offence, Robbery with a Weapon, Disguise with Intent, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and Assault.
Silvennoinen: Break, Enter and Commit Indictable Offence, Assault with a Weapon, Fail to comply with Probation Order, Disguise with Intent, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Robbery with a Weapon, Fail to Comply with Probation, and Assault causing Bodily Harm.

A third person arrested is a 17-year old, and cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

This person faces charges of Break, Enter and Commit Indictable Offence, Robbery with a Weapon, Fail to Comply with Undertaking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and Assault.

The three were held in custody and had a bail hearing set for Thursday, but the results are not available at this time.

Police believe this to be an isolated incident, and believe there’s no threat to public safety.
