Six individuals have been selected to represent the Timmins Chamber of Commerce, led by a new President.

Jamie Clarke—Owner of Tisdale Plumbing, Heating and Electrical—will assume the role of President for the 2017-18 Chamber year, taking over for Christine Bender.

“This year’s Board of Directors is made up of well-rounded and accomplished people with a common goal of ensuring Timmins remains a great place to do business,” Clarke said in a release, “I look forward to working with these enthusiastic individuals to ensure the needs of our members are being met in the coming year.”

Meantime, Donna Dorrington and Chantal Magny have been added to the board and four members currently serving on the board will return for the new season.

Dorrington is senior counsel and owner of Dorrington and Associates Professional Corporation. Magny is owner of Narrative Interiors.

Returning members include President of PAIB Insurance Daniel Ayotte, Co-owner of Haasen Farms Frank Haasen, Director of College Boreal in Timmins Jean-Pierre Nadon and Owner of Logical Code Jason Perratt.

Clarke will take over for Bender as of September 1st. All members will be officially sworn in during the Chamber’s annual meeting at the Porcupine Dante Club September 13th.
