A couple break and enter cases have resulted in charges over the weekend.

The first one saw Timmins Police get the call around 4:20pm Friday afternoon, where police say an individual allegedly gained entry to the home, caused damage and took items.

They say the person was found a short time later and later determined this person was bound by a probation order to keep the peace and “be of good behaviour.”

25-year old Gregory Sherman Ferrigan of Timmins was charged with “Break, Enter and Commit Indictable Offence and Fail to Comply with Probation.”

He was held in custody for a bail hearing scheduled for Monday. The result is not known at this time.

The other case saw two individuals from Cochrane arrested.

Timmins Police say someone reported a break and enter at a Timmins home Saturday afternoon around 3:45pm.

“Unknown individuals had allegedly gained entry to the residence and taken several food items,” police say in a release.

19-year old Nikeya Faries and 21-yaer old Nicholas Jones both face two charges of Break, Enter and Commit Indictable Offense.

They were both later released on a Promise to Appear. Both have their court dates set for September 5th.

Overall, it was just a couple of the more than 200 calls Timmins Police fielded on the weekend. They say several of those calls resulted in charges laid.
