A couple domestic incidents is resulting in charges for two women.

Timmins Police say a 28-year old Timmins woman was arrested after a domestic dispute in the north end of the city on Monday, July 17th.

“Reports indicated that following an argument, the accused allegedly assaulted the victim with a blunt object,” police state in a release, “Information received by police also indicated that during the altercation, the accused damaged several items before fleeing the residence.”

The woman was found and charged Tuesday. She was held in custody for a bail hearing scheduled for Wednesday.

Her charges include Assault with a Weapon, Mischief under $5000 and Breach of Probation.

The other incident was reported to police around the noon hour Tuesday.

It happened in the city’s east end, where police say the suspect allegedly “gained entry to the residence and proceeded to cause damage in several areas of the residence.”

“Further investigation also revealed that an assault had been committed against the victim using a blunt object,” police say.

The 39-year old Timmins woman was charged with Break and Enter, Assault with a Weapon, and Mischief Under $5000.

She was also held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for Wednesday.

Details are not known on their court appearances, and their names have not been released to protect the victims’ identities.
