Timmins city councillor Joe Campbell will continue his effort in regards to cutting down on city spending next week.

In Tuesday’s council package, Campbell calls for an outright freeze on new city spending “for 2018 budget purposes, to 2017 levels” until a detailed report can come out detailing all the city’s upcoming economic challenges.

He adds the report should have the city’s plans to cover future shortfalls to protect taxpayers from major increases.
