TimminscircleThere is something to do for children of all ages this March Break! The Timmins community events calendar is filling up with activities for young and old for the week of March 16th to the 22nd. Tourism Timmins has released the list of events early as some require pre-registration to participate.

The list of activities to-date for the March Break are:

Stella Nova Gymnastics Centre – Are you looking for something for your children to do during March Break? Register them in the fun filled day programs packed with gymnastics activities, crafts and excitement with amazing coaches!! Open for boys and girls ages 6-1. This is a full week registration only. Full days or half days are available. Free pizza lunch on Friday for full day participants. Visit www.stellanovagc.com for further information & fees.

The Timmins Museum has five days of activities! Monday March 16th – Pioneer Baking for ages 6 and up cost $15 per child. Tuesday March 17th – Crazy Sculptors ages 4 and up, cost $12 per child. Wednesday March 18th – Patio Lantern craft for ages 6 and up – cost $10 per child. Thursday march 19th – Needle Felt Craft for ages 7 and up – cost $12 per child. Friday March 20th – Ukrainian Easter Eggs (Pysanki) craft for children ages 7 and up cost $10. ADVANCED REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Call 705-360-2617 for more details.

YMCA March Break 2015 – Courses for Kids! Kid Proof Babysitter Training Wednesday, March 18 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. At Home Alone will be on Thursday March 19thfrom 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. This course is a two hour course that is an interactive, participatory program designed to teach children to make safe choices when they are at home alone. Neo Laser Tag will be opening at noon instead of 4:30 p.m. on Monday March 16th and Tuesday March 17th. Monday to Thursday during March Break, every game will only be $5 a person!

Timmins Cinema 6 will be running two $3 movies for the first matinee of March Break every day. Paddington and Penguins of Madagascar will both be available. For exact show times, please visit the web site at www.imaginecinemas.com.

Cedar Meadows Animal Preserve tour will take place at 3 p.m. daily! Tickets are $6/child, $12/adult, $10/Seniors and $8 per student. (Call 705-268-5800 to arrange your tour!)

Head out to Kamiskotia Snow Resort for their March Break Camps… Monday to Friday, lessons, activities, daily lunch. Cost to attend the camp is $249 for the week for ages 6-12. Rentals are only $10/day. Participants are invited to register online at www.kamiskotia.com or call (705)268-9057 (Wed.-Sun.) for registration information. Don’t forget to attend Kam Jam for the March 21st Big Air and Rail Competition, featuring live entertainment and more! Kamiskotia Snow resort is also open every day 10am-5pm during the March Break.

Visit Porcupine Ski Runners, for some wonderful fresh air and healthy activity! Rentals are available upon request.

Attend the Book Bin’s March 20th – Friday Night Magic starting at 6pm and on March 21st and 22nd – Magic the Gathering Dragons of Takir Pre-release Starts at 11:00 a.m.
