City is council is dishing out $105,000 on a third party consultant to review its core services.

Mayor Steve Black says this would address everything from organizational structure, how we do business, and where they may spend more or less than they should.

KPMG is the successful applicant for the review process and they’ll be looking over the CAO’s and senior management role, reviewing union and nonunion positions, and get rid of any staffing clutter or inefficiencies. The review also includes one-on-one with staff and councilors.

Council will be updated as the process evolves and a portion of the review will be a public meeting to poll residents on the city.

The final report is due back at council by August 10th.
