Timmins_Police_Service_logo_updA 63-year old local man has been charged following an incident on Birch Street South in the City of Timmins.

On June 17th 2015, the Timmins Police Service responded to a break and enter in progress. Officers responded to the scene and were provided a description of the male.

A short distance away, the male was located by police and placed into custody.

Marcel Lalonde of Timmins now faces three criminal charges including Break and Enter with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence, Indecent Act, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Lalonde was released by way of promise to appear with an undertaking and is expected to appear in court on July 14th 2015 at 9:30am at the Provincial Court of Justice in Timmins.

The incident is not related to the ongoing break and enter investigation at Canadian Tire.
