Timmins Police Official-BadgeThe Timmins Police Service has completed its investigation into allegations of sexual assault on 3 female teenage victims.

As a result of the comprehensive investigation undertaken by the Criminal Investigations Division of the Timmins Police Service, Timothy ROSE, 28, of Timmins, had been charged with:

  • one count of Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 contrary to Criminal Code of Canada
  • one count of Sexual interference on a Person Under 16 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • two counts of Sexual Assault contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

ROSE was arrested by the Timmins Police Service and was held in police custody and had a bail hearing today.

The accused opted to plead guilty today to 3 counts of lesser included offences under the Criminal Code of Canada in Provincial Court and is now bound by strict conditions in keeping with a 2 year probation order.

This investigation is the result of complaints received from young persons who attended a local high school in Timmins.

The Timmins Police Service consulted with school officials in regards to this event.

In turn, school officials have chosen to notify parents of this event by means of correspondence sent home with each student.
