In a new $950,000 campaign to clean up the city, Montreal is going with some very bold practices.

 

According to the Montreal Gazette:

‘After years of being general in its cleanliness campaigns, Montreal says it now wants to “directly and unequivocally target bad behaviour.”

“If your eye isn’t attracted by this campaign, we won’t know what else to do,” Anie Samson, vice chair of Montreal’s executive committee, said when city council approved the concept in June.’

What do you think of the campaign? Is it worth the $950,00 of taxpayer money? I love the message, but the dog poop statue on the bus stop irritates me. Great way to embarrass  people for taking public transit, who is going to want to stand around that?
