On January 10th, 2016, legendary musician, singer, songwriter and actor, David Bowie, passed away from liver cancer.  He was 69 years old.  Two days before, he released his last studio album Blackstar as a parting gift for fans.   This weekend, we take a look back at his life and legacy.

He was Ziggy Stardust.  He was Jareth, King of the Goblins.  He reinvented himself constantly for over 5 decades as part of popular music.  From solid collaborations with everyone from Mick Jagger to Bing Crosby to solo hits like Young American, Space Oddity, Let’s Dance, and Rebel Rebel, David Bowie was a voice of the times while the times continued to change.

This weekend we celebrate with a David Bowie Weekend, kicking off Friday at 3pm only on 92.1 ROCK.
