The Timmins Women’s Soccer League got underway last week, while the men’s side took to the pitch for the first time Sunday evening.

For the men, Hearst routed Blizzard in their TMLS debut matchup 6-1, while the Kapuskasing Longhorns humbled Gunners FC 11-0.

Hearst came back for a second tilt against the Rebels, but the match was postponed due to thunderstorms.

In women’s action last Wednesday, Rehab Plus blanked Tisdale Plumbing and Heating 7-0 and Dunrite Rubber Wolfpack edged East End Construction 2-1.

EEC was back in action 24 hours later, a 3-3 draw against the Restore Physiotherapy Pandas.  Tisdale Plumbing and Heating would then get blanked for the second day in a row with Porcupine Kinsmen’s 2-0 win.

The women are back on the pitch tonight—pending anticipated thunderstorms—at O’Gorman High School.
