Be prepared for delays between Timmins and South Porcupine, as the next phase of construction along the Connecting Link begins Monday.

The $100-million+ project is entering it’s second phase, a 1.2km stretch that extends from around the Tisdale Cemetary to the bottom of Rea Hill.

As such, lane closures and temporary speed limits will be in effect.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane in both directions. Eastbound lanes will be closed for excavation work and paving operations and warning signs will be posted.

As well, the construction zone has a speed limit of 60km/h. Again, signs will be posted.

The city’s website states this will be in effect until Friday at 5:00pm.
