There’s been more charges handed out in regards to local domestic-related incidents.

This time, a 42-year old Timmins man is facing 15 charges in relation to incidents that Timmins Police say date as far back as 2014.

Police say they were called to a local home Sunday afternoon around 1pm with a report of a domestic dispute.

“During the course of an argument, a male suspect is alleged to have physically assaulted his female partner,” police state in a release.

“Further investigation revealed that domestic incidents dating as far back as 2014 included multiple assaults, threats, damage to the victim’s property, and occurrences where the male would not allow the victim to leave the residence.”

After investigation, the man was charged with five counts of assault, three counts each of forcible confinement, Mischief under $5,000 and aggravated assault. There’s also a charge of uttering threats.

The man was held in custody and had a bail hearing Monday morning. No word on the result of that.

The name is not being released, in keeping with Timmins Police’s standard to avoid identifying the victim.
