An Instant Crossword scratch ticket purchase is making a Timmins man $250,000 richer—but he has to wait 30 days.

OLG says Robert Stack bought the ticket at the Timmins Square Lotto booth.

However, Stack’s son is an owner of an OLG retail location and falls under OLG’s definition of an “Insider Win.”

With this, Stack must go through a two-step process. The first step—an independent investigation of the claim by a third-party—has been completed, as it was determined he didn’t purchase the ticket at his son’s store.

The other step is the 30-day waiting period so OLG can publicize the win.

“If there are no additional claims on this prize, it will be paid to the claimant on August 30, 2017 based on this 30-day wait period.”
