Early confirmation numbers up at Northern College

It’s looking good for Northern College confirmation numbers.

President Fred Gibbons says although it’s too early to tell what it means for enrollment numbers, early confirmation numbers are up around five per cent from this time last year.

He says they’ll have a better grasp on the amount of students they’ll have in mid-September.

However, he adds it’s good news because dwindling numbers are being seen all across Northern Ontario.

Gibbons adds it’s mostly being seen through the school boards, but is starting to peek through at the post-secondary level.
