Timmins city council’s 2018 budget wish list will be revealed Wednesday night.

Councillors will present what they want to see factored into next year’s fiscal plan, including Mayor Steve Black, who is looking for an expenditure increase under two per cent.

It’s a shorter list than in previous years.

Councillor Rick Dubeau is again lobbying for a two per cent decrease from all departments “with priorities identified,” while Councillor Veronica Farrell is asking for a one per cent overall decrease.

The Timmins Taxpayers Association and Timmins Chamber of Commerce will also present their thoughts on the budget.

Council starts at 6:00pm.
