The Timmins Rock offense came back to life in a big way Tuesday night, defeating the Cochrane Crunch 7-5.

Newest Rock forward Connor Hoffmann contributed two goals and an assist in his debut, while Stewart Parnell had himself a four point night (two goals and two assists).

Eric Jackson made 27 saves in the victory, while Taylor Unruh surrendered five on 19 shots before getting the pull midway through the second period.

It was a penalty-filled affair, with Timmins getting eight power play opportunities to Cochrane’s six.

Both teams scored twice on the man advantage.

Next up for the Timmins Rock, a home date with the Blind River Beavers Friday night at 7:00pm.

Meantime, the Crunch will also see action Friday when they host the Rayside-Balfour Canadians at 7:30pm. There will be a delay beforehand, as Cochrane will retire the number 22 in honour of longtime player Dustin Cordeiro.
