A secondary ground search for Christopher Rivers has been suspended, following negative results.

Timmins Police say they searched the Murphy Road area for the 44-year old Timmins man between September 30th and October 3rd but nothing was found.

Along with the Timmins Police Service Emergency Response Team, volunteer members of Timmins Porcupine Search and Rescue and members of the Ontario Provincial Police Canine Unit, the search also involved searchers from North Shore Search and Rescue from Sudbury and Elliot Lake.

Despite the search being suspended, police say the investigation is continuing.

This recent search was in an expanded area than the first ground search, conducted September 8-9.

Rivers was reported missing on August 28.

He is described as being a Caucasian male, approximately 5’10” tall and approximately 190 lbs. He has a medium build, light brown hair, blue eyes, and possibly has unshaven facial hair.

Anyone having any information on the whereabouts of Rivers, or believing they may have seen him is asked to contact the Timmins Police Service at 705-264-1201.
