It’s going to cost a pretty penny to get road maintenance to Kenogamissi Hydro Road.

The city estimates a budget around $1.4-million dollars, saying the road appears to be in poor to fair condition, is narrow in a number of locations, has poor drainage and a bridge that lacks proper safety barriers.

The city adds they would have to consult with stakeholders in the area first, but a significant upgrade would be needed.

This will be on city council’s agenda on Tuesday.
