Over 39 million people in the world suffer from epilepsy—including Timmins’ 92.1 ROCK Morning Show host Ryan Daly.

“I had a bunch of seizures when I was a teenager and I was lucky in that mine were kind of like a smaller scale, and they were stress-related so I was able to manage them,” he said.

“But so many people have it way worse than I do, epilepsy sucks.”

It was with this thought that Daly decided to mastermind a CD release, “Northern Ontario Rocks Against Epilepsy.”

The CD—which is also available in a digital format—comes out November 1st as part of a special launch party at The Working Class.

The night will feature live music and raffles and the entry fee is $5.00.  The CD itself will be available at the door for $10, or digitally for $7 HERE.

Pre-orders are available now for the digital format, and you get three songs instantly.

Every bit of money raised from the CD or digital album purchases and the raffle will support the Seizure and Brain Injury Centre in Timmins.

(The entry fee will help pay the artists playing on November 1st, though some have said they’ll donate their portion of the funds to the cause as well.)

Oh, and the music on the CD? All Northern Ontario content, with a plethora of talent from Timmins, North Bay and Sudbury.

“It’s so great to be part of a musical community that comes together for such worthy causes,” says Timmins-based Laforge frontman Corey McGee, “It’s a real pleasure to contribute in any way we can.”

“The Music Community in Timmins is on fire right now. They’ve embraced us with open arms and become like a second home to us,” added the Blackwood Sinners, “We always love to help out and are honoured they’d want to use our music for a great cause!”

“It’s been amazing to see the response from our musical community for something that hits so close to home for me,” Daly said.
