Two Timmins residents are facing charges after a robbery at a local retail store.

Timmins Police say Tuesday afternoon (around 3:15pm), police got a call about a theft of several items by two people.

Upon investigation, police say the female suspect allegedly made threats towards staff and members of the public. The male suspect allegedly assaulted someone in an attempt to leave the store.

20-year old Ashley Williams faces a slew of charges that include:

  • Robbery
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Utter threats to cause bodily harm
  • Fail to comply with Undertaking X2
  • Having liquor in an open container in a public place
  • Consuming liquor in a public place

19-year old Jeremy John Nakogee was charged with:

  • Robbery
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Fail to comply with Recognizance
  • Entering premises when entry is prohibited

Police add the stolen items were recovered.  The two suspects were held in custody and had a bail hearing Wednesday morning.
