The Special Investigations Unit is reviewing another incident in Timmins – this time involving a 62 year-old woman.

The SIU says it happened last weekend when the Timmins police responded to call at the Timmins and District Hospital. The woman was asked to leave and did in a taxi. Later, the woman was arrested for allegedly causing a disturbance at a shelter at Ross and Hemlock Street.

The woman was taken into custody and placed in a cell at the Timmins Police building. Later she was taken back to the hospital by ambulance and pronounced dead.

This is the second case being dealt with this week in the city.  The SIU is still reviewing circumstances around the death of a 21-year-old man near Gillies Lake.
