This weekend, Northern College will be filled with music and dancing to celebrate the 17th Annual Northern College Traditional Powwow. The Powwow beings tomorrow at noon with the Grand Entry in the Northern College

gymnasium. There will be dancing, children’s activities, good food and traditional handmade art and crafts for sale.

There will be a Feast taking place on Saturday evening at 5 p.m.. Tickets are still available for that at $2 per person.

Dancers: Register each day at the registration table located in the gymnasium.
Food: The college cafeteria is open from 10 am to 3 pm so you can purchase food and features Tim Horton’s coffee.
The Feast: The Feast takes place Saturday at 5 pm and tickets are available at a cost of $2.
Crafts: Take advantage of the wide variety of handmade traditional arts and crafts available to purchase throughout the weekend.
Elders Lounge: A room is provided for the comfort of Elders; please respect that this is made available for Elders only.
T-Shirts For Sale: A limited number of Powwow t-shirts will be available to purchase. Funds will be used to help offset the cost of the Powwow.
ATM’s: There are two ATM’s at the College; one in the main entrance and the other near the entrance to the gym.
Children’s Activities: There are activities for children in the Quill Lounge located next to the gymnasium. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Transportation: A free bus is provided on Saturday, April 21 10:30 am – Bus leaves Ramada Inn with stops at the Timmins Native Friendship Centre, The Bon Air, Schumacher (corner of Father Costello Drive and Grant) to Northern College and return every hour up until 9:30 pm.
