**Timmins Police News Release**


The Timmins Police Service responded to a call for service in regards to a dispute between two men in the downtown core yesterday afternoon (20 August)
Upon completion of the investigation, the responding Timmins Police Service officers learned of an ongoing series of assaultive behaviour allegations undertaken by one of the men against the other.

 
Timmins Police collected all relevant information in relation to the events and located the man allegedly responsible a short while later.
The male suspect was taken into police custody.
 
A thorough investigation was completed by the officers in regards to the assault.
 
Moise JASMIN, 42, of Timmins, has been arrested and charged with:
– Three counts of Breach of Recognizance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– One count of Assault with a Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– One count of Common Assault contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Three counts of Uttering Threats contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– One count of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused remains in police custody while awaiting a Bail Hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against him.
