**Timmins Police Service News Release**


While conducting traffic patrol of Airport Road, a Timmins Police Service – Traffic Section officer had occasion to observe a passenger vehicle allegedly being driven at a speed of 144 km/h late yesterday afternoon.

 
The driver was stopped by the officer and interviewed regarding his driving behavior.
The driver was charged with Stunt Driving and, in keeping with the provisions of section 172 of the Highway Traffic Act, his driver’s licence has been suspended for 7 days.
Additionally, the vehicle has been impounded for 7 days.
 
Kyle THAUVETTE, 23, of Timmins has been issued a Provincial Court Summons requiring that he attend court in Timmins in October to answer to the charge laid against him.
 
The vehicle involved in the incident was towed from the scene.
