TIMMINS AND DISTRICT HOSPITAL NEWS RELEASE**

Timmins and District Hospital is pleased to announce that we have entered into a formal agreement with Hospital Alliance Group to operate a Sleep Lab Clinic.

The Timmins Sleep Lab Clinic will continue as a 6-bed Clinic in the Hospital where about 2,200 sleep study exams were and will be performed on an annual basis.

“Patients will continue to get the same quality of service with Health Alliance Group as they did when TADH was directly operating the Sleep Lab,” said Maggie Matear, Chair of the Hospital Board. “Although the process to select the right partner took a little longer than we had anticipated, we are confident that Hospital Alliance Group will provide
excellent Sleep Lab Clinic services for the residents of Timmins and the surrounding area. Their experience with similar sized Clinics and their growing team of physicians will provide a strong level of expertise that referring physicians can rely on to assist them with any patient’s sleep disorders” said Bryan Bennetts, Chief Financial Officer.
Guy Guindon, Manager of the John P Larche Medical Imaging and Cardiopulmonary Department said, “I’m pleased to be moving forward into a new business model for the operation of the Sleep Lab Clinic in our partnership with Hospital Alliance Group. Right now, our main focus will be to collaborate with our new partner so that the patients on
the Sleep Lab Clinic waiting list can be seen as soon as possible.”

Work is underway to transition the operation of the Sleep Lab Clinic to Hospital Alliance Group as quickly as possible. Patients currently awaiting a sleep study exam should soon expect to be contacted by Hospital Alliance Group to set up their appointments. Hospital Alliance Group will begin processing sleep study exam requisitions around the
end of November, 2018.
