Cochrane District EMS Ambulance Bay at 500 Algonquin Blvd, Timmins, ON

On Tuesday, December 11, NEOFACS will be presented with gifts and a cheque from the “Fill an Ambulance and Crib” toy drive that the Cochrane District EMS and CDSSAB employees held in Timmins at the Canadian Tire and Walmart parking lots on Saturday, December 8, 2018.

NEOFACS runs an annual toy drive called the Christmas Angel Campaign to help provide necessities such as food, clothing, and gifts to children, youth and families throughout Northeastern Ontario. Donations to the Fill an Ambulance and Crib event will be distributed in Timmins and surrounding areas.

For the second consecutive year, Cochrane District EMS and CDSSAB collected donations for infants and babies. Donations of diapers, bottles, blankets and hygiene items filled a crib alongside the ambulance during the toy drive on Saturday. The donations will be given to families that need assistance throughout the holiday season.

Some families in our community do not have the financial resources or the means to have a Christmas worth remembering. Through the campaign, we are helping to build strong, healthy and safe communities where children, youth, and families can thrive.
