** TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service has charged a local man and woman in relation to a disturbance which occurred outside a local tavern which led to both parties being arrested.

 

While completing patrols of the downtown core during the early morning hours of Sunday December 16th, a Timmins Police Service officer came upon a disturbance in progress outside a local tavern.
In the course of attempting to restore order, the responding officer and a 2nd Timmins Police officer were allegedly assaulted in the course of their duties.

As a result of the physical altercations, Catherine CALDBICK, 22, and Neil NEAMTU, 41, both of Timmins have been charged with:
– Assault a Peace Officer contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Resist a Peace Officer contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused persons were released from custody on a respective Promise to Appear and are required to attend
