Bermuda Tan is giving back to the community after two successful fundraisers raised $10,766 in December.

The money was presented to Amber Elliot from Timmins Community Food Bank and Nicole Gillard from project Love.

Funds raised will be used to fund an idea brought forth from Amber and Bermuda Tan Owner and Operator Gail Mills which will facilitate the preparing and serving of hot nutritious meals on Tuesday evenings. The meals would be followed by a short workshop covering different helpful skills.

The raised funds will come very close to providing meals for a year to help feed the less fortunate. Meals will be prepared and served by volunteers at the Timmins Community Food Bank located in the First Baptist Church.

Bermuda Tan raised the $10,766 at two separate holiday events: their VIP Fundraiser and the Get Me Outta Here Christmas Ball Raffle.

The Timmins Community Food Bank has been operating since the late 1990’s and has been feeding the less fortunate every Friday with a hot lunch.
