**OFFICE OF TIMMINS JAMES BAY MP NEWS RELEASE**

Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus is advising residents of Kirkland Lake that they will have to go to the Legion to pick up their mail this week. Structural damage to the Post Office means it will be closed for the remainder of the week.

Angus says Canada Post has been very quick in finding a temporary solution. “Canada Post officials responded right away to the issue and provided us with updates and solutions. This was unavoidable so we thank Canada Post for their care in the matter.”

Beginning today, mail will be available for pick-up at the Legion, located at 1 Summerhayes Road, in Kirkland Lake. Customers should enter the side door of the building to pick up their mail from noon until 5:30 p.m. for the rest of the week. All customers will need to bring government issued photo identification to collect their mail.

Angus says, while this may cause some inconvenience, he is confident normal procedures should resume soon.

Parcels will still go out for delivery during this time.
