**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**

 

The Timmins Police Service arrested 5 local persons stemming from the execution of a search warrant during the early evening hours of Thursday, April 18th.

Timmins Police Service – Drug Enforcement Section officers attended at a Pine Street North residence and executed a search warrant which yielded the seizure of the following controlled substances and exhibits:

– 350 Methamphetamine tablets
– 17.45 grams of “Purp”
– Four 5 milligram Oxycodone tablets
– 1 hydromorphone tablet
– ¼ fentanyl patch
– 1.5 grams of cocaine
– a quantity of Canadian currency was seized as evidence as well.

Based on the investigation, the following 3 persons from Timmins have been charged with drug related offences, while the other two persons were released unconditionally.

Paul JASMIN, 37 Timmins, has been charged with:
– 6 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
– Possession of a Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Fail to Comply with Undertaking contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against him.

As well, Josee BERGERON, 32, of Timmins, has been charged with:
– 6 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary
to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at
Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against her.
Additionally, Adam MORIN, 36, of Timmins, has been charged with a single count of:
– Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act

 

The accused was released from police custody but must attend at Provincial Court in Timmins
on May 28th, 2019, to answer to the charge laid against him.
