**KIRKLAND LAKE OPP NEWS RELEASE**


On April 22, 2019, members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Town of Kirkland Lake, Ontario. 

After speaking with the driver it was revealed that he was in contravention of his Conditional Sentence Order (CSO). Further investigation resulted in the seizure of suspected Cocaine and Methamphetamine.  

As a result of the police investigation, Robert BRUNET, age 32, of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, was charged with the following:  

 

  •  Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine, contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA), and
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine, contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA.

 

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake, on the May 1, 2019.
