The Timmins Multicultural Festival is returning for its 48th year this May and event organizers are hoping some local performers will help celebrate cultural diversity in Timmins.

The annual festival takes place on May 26th at the McIntyre Community Centre.

Organizers are looking for musicians, dance troupes, and multicultural performances that would round out a full day of celebrations for cultural diversity.

The event itself will feature the Timmins Police Pipes & Drums and other multicultural performances, as well as food, music and dancing. The Festival starts with a Parade of Nations and opening remarks.

While the event is free, monetary donations are appreciated upon entry.

Everything gets started on May 26th at 12 PM. Interested applicants for performances can call 705-360-1467, or email the Timmins Multicultural Society at timminsmultisociety@outlook.com. You can also message them on their Facebook page.
