**NORTHERN COLLEGE NEWS RELEASE**

Northern College is proud to announce its graduating class of 2019.
Northern College’s Class of 2019 comprises of almost 600 new graduates ready to enter the workforce and put the skills learned during their post-secondary career to good use in the world at large.
Each year, the College celebrates graduates with ceremonies at each campus, providing a tailored experience reflective of the long hours spent studying, at Northern.

“Our graduation ceremonies are extremely important to us, as it’s our way of showcasing our campuses to the many families who join us from across the province and beyond,” stated Jennifer Brazeau, program assistant at Northern College’s Haileybury Campus. “Our graduates can leave knowing they have met or exceeded their academic goals here at Northern, and can use that sense of accomplishment while on the search for the perfect career path.”
To mark the occasion and solidify its commitment to student success post-graduation, Northern College, along with with generous community donors provide thousands of dollars in graduation bursaries to exemplary students from each of our programs.

“There is never a point in a student’s academic journey where financial support and investment isn’t welcome,” said Northern College Alumni and Foundations Officer Nicole Gingras. “When it comes to graduation bursaries, we are recognizing all of the hard work and commitment that it took to bring them to this point, providing some support for our grads as they make the transition from student to employee.”

Graduation marks the end of a very meaningful chapter in the life of any student and Northern College remains committed to providing its graduates with a memorable experience that both celebrates their accomplishments and provides them with wisdom and guidance as they take their first steps forward into their careers.

“Our graduates can be proud of who they have become and the preparation they received at Northern College to now go forward and enter the workforce and build exciting careers, or to pursue further studies,” stated Northern College President, Dr. Fred Gibbons.

The class of 2019 now joins the long list of active and successful alumni shaping their respective employment fields both at home and abroad, marking the 52nd successful graduating class from Northern College since its inception in 1967.
