**TIMMINS FESTIVAL EVENTS COMMITTEE NEWS RELEASE**

Rock On The River is only a few weeks away, and tickets are selling fast! For those with
families, purchasing multiple tickets can pose a big financial cost to attend the event.
Which is why TFEC is pleased to announce that just like previous years, children 10 and
under will receive free entry with a cash donation towards the community of Timmins.

Two groups have been selected to benefit from the child entry fee of the 2019 Festival:
• The Yo Mobile – A non-profit organization dedicated to providing the homeless
and less fortunate with warm meals, clothing, and essential items free of charge.
They spend the winter months parked outside ensuring those without a place to
go, have a place to go.

• The Timmins YMCA – A non profit organization providing educational and fun
opportunities for children of various age groups. Building strong kids, strong
families, and strong communities.
TFEC is challenging the local community to be generous with their donations at the gate,
knowing 100% of the children’s fee goes right back into Timmins. At the same time, we
want 100% of the community to be able to enjoy our event, and any monetary donation
will be accepted. Give what you can. The funds raised over the weekend will be split
equally between the two groups.

“Rock On The River is all about bringing the community together to make Timmins an
awesome and fun place to live. Much like TFEC, these organizations thrive on the
support of Timmins to operate effectively. With Rock On The River reaching a level of
support where TFEC is able to give back as well, it only makes sense to do so” – John
Olaveson, Chair of TFEC
Rock On The River takes place July 26th & 27th. Tickets are on sale now at
