**TIMMINS FESTIVALS AND EVENTS COMMITTEE NEWS RELEASE**

Enjoyment of Rock On The River may be top of mind, but nothing is more paramount to TFEC than the safety of our ticket buyers. TFEC is proud to announce a number of community partnerships to ensure our patrons get home safely and that a fun, exciting weekend is not dampened by people drinking and driving.

This includes:
• FREE shuttle busses at the end of the event each night from First
Student Bus Transportation. One shuttle going east to Porcupine and
the other west.
• A partnership with Timmins Transit that offers FREE, and accessible
transit to any ticket buyer. Simply show your wristband or proof or
purchase to the driver when getting on the bus to ride for free.
• A partnership with Rock On The River sponsor Vets Taxi. Ensuring the
taxis are on site and expecting a busy night.

“We really hope people take advantage of all the options available and plan
ahead. Not only does this help with the very limited parking situation at the
Participark, but it helps keep drunk drivers off the road. TFEC can’t stress this
enough; have fun, but please don’t drink and drive.” – TFEC Chair, John
Olaveson.

Rock On The River takes place July 26th and 27th. Tickets and information are
available at TimminsFestivals.com
