**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service has charged a local man with impaired driving related offences stemming from an incident which occurred during the early morning hours of Friday, July 19th
While completing general patrols of the downtown core of Timmins, a Timmins Police Service officer took note of a vehicle being driven in an erratic fashion on Mount-joy street North.

A traffic stop was initiated by the officer and he made observations regarding the sobriety of the driver of the passenger vehicle.
Based on the observations made by the officer, the driver was arrested and taken into custody to complete further breath testing procedures.

As a result of the investigation, Chad RINGSTEAD, 28, of Timmins, Ontario, has been charged with:
– Operate Motor Vehicle While Impaired contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
– Operate Motor Vehicle – Blood Alcohol Concentration in Excess of 80 milligrams contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused was released from police custody but must attend Provincial Court in Timmins on August 6th to answer to the charges laid against him.
