**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service has charged a local woman with a number of Criminal Code offences stemming from a disturbance at a local motel which occurred during the early morning hours of Saturday, July 27th.

Responding Timmins Police Service officers completed a thorough investigation into the incident where the suspect is alleged to have damaged a motel door and assaulted a by-stander
The suspect was located and arrested by the Timmins Police Service.

As a result of the incident, Taniesha NAKOGEE, 19, of Timmins, has been charged with:
– Assault contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Mischief Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– 2 counts of Breach of Recognizance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused was held in police custody and has had a bail hearing on Monday, July 29th at Provincial Court in Timmins where she was released on strict conditions and must re-attend court on August 6th to answer to the charges laid against her.
