Since 2011 De Beers Group and the Victor Mine have donated a diamond to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation, so that the hospital could raise money for some new equipment upgrades. This year the draw is back, and you have the chance to win a $14,000 diamond along with the choice of a ring mount or necklace pendant mount. The total amount of the prize is over $15,000!

This year the Foundation is holding the draw because the equipment they would purchase with the money raised off of ticket sales would benefit patients.

“Patients will benefit from the efficiencies this technology provides by improving the transfer of patients between units with better flow of clinical information. Our nurses can spend more time with patients, focusing on enhanced patient care and safety.” -Said Barb McCormick, Manager of Donor Relations of the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation.

The De Beers Group is more than happy to help the hospital growth and improvement.

“The Victor team has always had a strong focus on health and wellness, and is proud to play a role in enhanced health care for people in North Eastern Ontario and the James Bay.” -Said Sherri Lapointe, Social Performance Manager at De Beers Group Victor Mine.

Both the Hospital Foundation and De Beers are excited to bring this back and can’t wait to meet who will take home this year’s diamond. Tickets are on sale for 100$ and can be purchased at the Foundation office or at Cousineau Fine Jewellery. The draw will take place on November 1st.
