It’s a new week and the Rock went from an eight game winning streak to a two game losing streak. It’s only October so it’s still early to look at the standings for playoff positioning, but as of right now it’s a close three way race for first between the Voodoos, Rock, and the defending Champs Hearst LumberJacks. The Rock are taking on the LumberJacks tonight and are wrapping up a five game road trip. A Rock win would be huge as it would give them a four point cushion over the LumberJacks, and would see them tied with the Voodoos for first place at 28 points… that’s if the Voodoos go on to lose in regulation tonight to the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners.

After tonight’s game the Rock will finish off their week on home ice at the Mac on Friday October 25 when the Gold Miners pay them a visit. The Rock may be on a losing streak, but there is no need to hit the panic button. If the Rock can regroup and pull off two wins this week, the momentum would shift right back into their favor. October has gone by quickly and November is quickly approaching. The Rock will have nine games in the month of November and only three of those games will be at home. So they’ll be in for a tough month, but with the kind of group the Rock have they should do just fine. If you’d like tickets to this Friday’s home game you can head on over to TimminsRock.com
