Believe it or not, there is a lot of work to be done on a ski hill. No matter where it is, the ski hill always needs something to be fixed or there’s ideas for new projects that come up. Kamiskotia ski hill is no different, the hill is in need of a few repairs and they have ideas for some new projects.

In order to move forward with those projects and repairs, the hill needs to raise some money. They came up with a few solutions on how to that.

Wines of the World is returning and the event is sure to be a big help for the snow resort and the ski hill.

” Wines of the World is an established event in the community, its been running for a number of years. This year Kamiskotia is taking over an putting it on. We will utilize that as a fundraiser to help out with various projects around the hill.” – General Manager, Eric Philipow

Although, there are various ideas and projects that they would like to fulfill; Philipow added that he isn’t quite sure how much money the event will raise, but the goal they hope to have achieved by next year’s season, is to have a new Groomer for the hill.

“This event is taking place on Saturday November ninth at the Porcupine Dante Club. It’s a six course meal, each course is paired with a specific wine. There’s a silent auction that will go on, there will also be vintage wine tasting as well, and to end the night there will be a live DJ there so that everyone can just have a good time and let loose.” -Said Philipow.

The cost to attend the event is $125 per seat or you can purchase a table of eight seats for $1000.

The next event that the ski hill will be hosting is a Ski and Board Swap. This event is a two day event and will take place at the ski hill on Saturday November 16 and Sunday November 17.

“The event has been going on for a large amount of years, we are just expanding on the idea of the event. Instead of a normal ski swap, we are kind of turning it into a small marketplace. So if someone wanted to purchase their own table and sell their own clothing, or stuff like arts and crafts… they would be able to.” -Said Philipow
