Timmins is without a doubt a passionate community. One of the many times our passion is on display is when it comes to the game of hockey.

We also have a rich hockey history and have some people who are from Timmins and left their mark in the NHL record books forever… Bill Barilko, Frank Mahovolich, Steve Sullivan just to name a few.

We are such a passionate hockey community that we were able to host Rogers Hometown Hockey! Now it’s time to take it to the next level.

Kraft HockeyVille is back for another year and it’s looking for it’s next die hard hockey community.

“There’s two ways to get involved… One way, you can go on and enter your community story. To enter your community story there’s three things we are looking for. We’re looking for you to tell us about your community’s spirit and passion for hockey, we are looking to hear about the importance of your arena to the community as well as how you’re going to use the prize money and lastly why should your community be the next Kraft HockeyVille” -Matt Bruce Kraft Heinz Spokesperson.

“There’s other ways to get involved; you can go on and upload a supportive message, photo, or video or just share your community story on twitter.” -Said Bruce.

The Top four communities are guaranteed to win a prize but the community who is voted the next Kraft HockeyVille  will win $250,000 and an NHL Pre season game.

Voting is now open you can visit the Kraft HockeyVille website and nominate Timmins today! The winners will be announced on Hockey Night in Canada by NHL commissioner Gary Bettman on March 28 2020.
