The Timmins Rock, are taking on the Cochrane Crunch tonight! it’s a battle of highway 655, and a the Rock will look to pick up another big two points!

As far as starting goaltenders go… Ty Masternak, is the number one goaltender for the Rock, so he is projected to get the start tonight. Both Masternak and Vance Meyer have put up monster numbers for the team this season, so it doesn’t really matter who’s in net… you’ll likely see a good performance from whoever Timmins Rock Head Coach, Corey Beer gives the nod to. Masternak, has a 23-5-1-1 record with seven shutouts and a .932 S.V%.

The projected starter for the Crunch, is Zach Wickson. Wickson, has a 11-12-2-2 record with one shutout and a .917 S.V%

Cameron Kosurko, has made an impact with the team all season long. He has 22 points in his first season with the Rock. The 16 year-old has been noticeable as of late and it shows on the score sheet. Kosurko, has seven points in his last ten games. Which means he’s almost a “point per game guy”. When the Rock hosted the Powassan Voodoos and lost 3-2, they also lost Kosurko to an injury.

“He suffered an upper body injury… took a nasty hit and kind of rolled his arm/wrist area there. It’s too bad because he should probably be added to the players that were going tonight.” is what Corey Beer said after the 3-2 loss.

Now there’s a chance that he plays tonight.

“He is leaning towards a return but will likely be a game time decision” -Said the Rock Head Coach.

Puck drop for tonight’s game is at 7:30pm and tickets are still available online at TimminsRock.Com.
